Big Baller Vegas is a private golf scoring app operated by Matt Tucker. By using it you agree to these terms.

What the app is

A scorekeeping tool for a golf game called Vegas. It records scores, applies handicap strokes, calculates points, and shows the resulting standings among the players in a round. It is used by invitation within a private golf group.

What it isn't

The app does not process, hold, transfer or facilitate any money. It calculates a points total and displays what that total would be worth at the stake the group chose. Any settling up happens directly between players, outside the app. We are not a payment processor, a gambling operator, or a party to any wager between players.

If you enter a Venmo or Zelle handle, it is displayed to your group as a convenience for settling among themselves. We do not initiate, route or see any payment.

Your responsibility

Enter accurate information, including your handicap index. Scoring depends on it.
Only wager what is lawful where you are playing and what you can afford. Any wagering is a private arrangement between you and the other players.
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Use the app only for rounds you are actually part of, or have been invited to score.

Text messages

Entering your mobile number in the app is your consent to receive a one-time sign-in code at that number. Saving a number in your profile is your consent to receive your own results after rounds you played in. All messages are transactional; we send no marketing.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.

Scores and results

Scores are entered by a person, not measured by the app. Mistakes happen. Any player or the round's organizer can correct a score, and the group is the final authority on what a round's result was. We provide the calculation, not the ruling.

Completed rounds store their final result so that later changes to the app cannot alter a settled round.

Availability

This is a small private app run as a side project. It may be unavailable, may change, and may lose data. Keep a paper card if a round matters to you.

No warranty and limit of liability

The app is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matt Tucker is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app — including disputed scores, incorrect handicap calculations, unavailability, or any amount wagered or settled between players.

Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time and request deletion of your account and data by writing to the address below. We may remove access for anyone misusing the app.

Changes

These terms may change. The current version is always on this page with a date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
